STM32Cube Build Context ¶
Purpose and scope ¶
The STM32Cube Build Context checks prerequisites and launches builds for
CMake-based STM32 projects through
cube
cmake. It does not program, erase,
or debug a target.
Use this context in STM32CubeIDE for Visual Studio Code. It supports the VS
Code target only and requires the declared
stmicroelectronics.stm32-vscode-extension
dependency. During setup, add
--install-vscode-extensions
to install declared extensions in the selected
profile. For an existing project, run
cube
agentic-ai
doctor
<project>
--fix
--vscode-profile
"<exact
profile
name>".
Without an explicit profile and installation request, the installer reports
the required commands. The CMake project must be the workspace root and must
be discovered by STM32CubeIDE for Visual Studio Code (cubified). See the
STM32CubeIDE for Visual Studio Code documentation.
After project generation, run
Developer:
Reload
Window
once and wait for
CMake configuration to finish before asking the agent to build.
The project must contain a root
CMakeLists.txt
and a
CMakePresets.json
file when it uses presets.
setup
installs the
context’s declared CMake bundle dependency. It checks any
project-specific toolchain requirements and does not change build files.
Before a build, the user must confirm that the project is trusted for execution
or approve a named sandbox.
The context is delivered in the
cube-agentic-ai-build
bundle.
